Make Up Forever Cosmetics-Dubai

I am currently at my boyfriends mums house out in Al Ain ( near Dubai ) and can not believe the amount of activity that is consistently happening here. I have been here for 3 weeks and have already seen camel races, ate amazing food in the middle of the desert round a camp fire and been riding on the most amazing arabic horses-I want one!!!


However the main thing I cant seem to escape out here is SHOPPING!!  (not that im complaining) its amazing-there are malls everywhere and I soon sucumbed to the temptation-it was christmas after all so its ok to build up a new wardrobe for 2012 right?  and of course a fresh face of new cosmetics, skincare and accessories!!


With Make Up Forever Stores lurking around every corner out here and seeing as though its not that easy to access at home in the UK I thought I would take advantage and purchase a couple of bits that I kept thinking of ordering off line! The first thing that I purchased was the MUFE hd primer which comes in seven different colour options, each one designed to work with different skin tone colours and to combat different areas of concern. I went for the colour gold (as the man in store suggested) as I have quite golden skin and I have no real concern with colour undertone. It smells divine and goes on so smooth, it feels really moisturizing and refreshing on the skin. It gives my skin a bit of luminosity and preps it nicely for my foundation.  I have used it a couple of times so far and it really has made my makeup stay put, which is a challenge in the heat as it is getting up to 31 degrees out here at at times. I will let you know how it holds out in the long term :)

The second item I purchased from Mufe was their uplight face luminizer gel, which again comes in a range of colours and different finishes (silky, pearly and sparkling) I have to say I am obsessed with highlighters and anything that can brighten and illuminate my face I am instantly drawn to :)  You can use this product with your tinted moisturiser or foundation for an all over glow or just as a highlighter on the  tops of the cheek and brow bones, cupids bow etc.  I really like this product I got the shade 23 which is a gorgeous golden, coral colour and is a pearl finish however it does seem to have some sparkle to it too.  I personally use it as a highlighter as I already use quite a dewy foundation and feel with this finish I may reflect the sun slightly if it is used all over my face. However if purchased it in the silky finish then I think you could use it mixed in with your foundation and just get that nice all over radience. I have attempted some pictures and swatches below but couldn't really capture the beauty of the product!

 The only thing im not too keen on is the packaging it comes in a pump form like many of their liquid products but it means that it is quite hard to control the amount of product that you want to use. However  I still love the product and I think there is a suitable shade to suit every skin type :) xx
